Inclusive SEND provision at Musical Mayhem London
Nurturing and supportive classes for all
Everyone Belongs
At Musical Mayhem, inclusion isn’t just a buzzword. It’s part of who we are. In fact, our founder, Lyndsey Rogerson, is proudly neurodivergent. Like many of our families, we understand first-hand that every child experiences the world differently. Here at Musical Mayhem, we celebrate that. Our mission is simple: Building confidence through creativity – for EVERY child.

Theatre Academy Classes
SEND-Specific Theatre Academy Classes
Thanks to newly secured funding, we are delighted to introduce dedicated monthly SEND performing arts sessions at Musical Mayhem. These specialist sessions are designed for young performers aged 3–18 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, who may benefit from a more supported and adapted class environment.
Our SEND Theatre Academy sessions maintain the joy, creativity and energy of Musical Mayhem, while providing additional support to help every child feel comfortable, confident and able to participate.
What makes these sessions different?
To ensure the best experience for every child, these classes include:
• Smaller group sizes
• Higher adult-to-child ratios
• Adapted activities to suit different needs and learning styles
• Sensory-aware teaching approaches
• Opportunities to explore music, movement, drama and imaginative play
• A calmer and more supported environment than our mainstream classes
These sessions allow children to develop confidence, creativity and self-expression through performing arts – in a setting that feels safe, welcoming and inclusive.
Baby and Toddler Classes
Miniatures Classes
Alongside our SEND Theatre Academy sessions, we also offer Monthly Miniatures classes for our youngest performers. Our Miniatures sessions are open to all children in a mixed, inclusive environment. Children with SEND are very welcome, and our team is always happy to chat about how we can best support your child and make any helpful adaptations.
These sessions are specially designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, with shorter, age-appropriate activities full of creativity, sensory play and confidence-building fun.
Mini sessions are gentle, playful and welcoming, giving little ones the chance to explore music, movement and imagination at their own pace in a relaxed setting. Perfect for children who:
• Prefer shorter sessions
• Benefit from sensory-based activities
• Enjoy exploring music and movement through play
• Feel more comfortable in smaller, relaxed groups
Miniatures classes are a wonderful first step into the world of Musical Mayhem, helping little ones build confidence while having lots of fun.

Supporting SEND
Our inclusive mainstream classes
Whilst we are proud to offer dedicated SEND performing arts sessions, our weekly classes are also designed to be inclusive, nurturing and supportive.
Many children with additional needs thrive in our mainstream setting. We ensure this by:
Offering structured routines
Using clearly signalled transitions
Adapting activities in the moment to meet individual needs
Encourage confidence at every level
Provide visual and verbal guidance
Maintain strong safeguarding ratios
However, we are a small team, and our mainstream classes typically run with two teachers and up to 20 children. If a child requires consistent one-to-one support, or a higher level of supervision for safety, we may not always be able to safely meet those needs within a mainstream session. In those cases, please be reassured that we will always communicate openly and work with families to find the right fit because inclusion must be safe for the child, the rest of the group and our teaching team. This is why we are so proud of our offering. We ensure there is the right provision for every child.
Our approach to SEND
Taking a Warm, Inclusive and Supportive Approach
We kindly ask that parents share any additional needs, diagnoses, EHCP information, or school support requirements at the point of booking.
This is not to exclude in any way. This is to ensure we can help to guide you what is best for your child. It allows us to:
• plan properly
• keep everyone safe
• provide the right support
• give your child the best possible experience
