Build confidence and creativity with Musical Mayhem’s Children’s Theatre Classes.

Our Children’s Theatre Academy in London is the perfect place for young performers aged 3–18 to take their love of singing, dancing, and acting to the next level. These children’s theatre classes are fun, inclusive, and designed to help students grow both on stage and off, building confidence, teamwork, focus, and self-expression.

Led by our passionate and professional teaching team, every session combines high-energy musical theatre training with a supportive, nurturing environment where each child can shine. Musical Mayhem is also registered with Ofsted, giving families added reassurance that our programmes meet recognised standards of care and safeguarding.

We proudly present a full-scale production every year, as well as a wonderful carol concert. This gives all of our students the chance to perform in front of an audience. Every child even has the opportunity to perform solo – because at Musical Mayhem, every voice deserves to be heard.

Explore our musical theatre classes

All of our children’s theatre classes offer quality learning opportunities, alongside lots of fun and laughter. Each term builds toward a performance, giving students a tangible goal and a real sense of pride.

Many of our students progress through the Children’s Theatre Academy for years, starting as shy beginners in Tots – and even from Miniatures – and growing into confident young performers, as Seniors, ready to take on any stage.

We perform at venues such as Canada Water Tube Station and Peckham Theatre, giving our students the thrill of being in front of an audience and on stage. It’s a wonderful chance to celebrate each child’s achievements equally.

Frequently asked questions about our Theatre Academy

What is the age range for the musical theatre sessions?

Our children’s theatre classes accommodate children aged from 3-17.

We have dedicated classes for Tots (Pre-School), Infants (Reception-Year 2), Juniors (Year 3-6) and Seniors (Year 7-13). We also have a special After School Club (Year 2-6) at Albion Primary School.

What is the commitment required, especially for performances and rehearsals?

We aim for two performances a year. Regular attendance is required, especially during the run-up to a performance. Some out-of-class rehearsal time may be necessary but we will keep you fully informed about these, in plenty of time.

Are your teachers qualified, and what is your safeguarding policy?

All of our teachers are professionally trained, experienced and hold qualifications in musical theatre. They also all hold enhanced DBS checks.

We operate a strict safeguarding policy, including a clear student-to-teacher ratio and having a designated Safeguarding Lead.

What if my child is unwell or unable to make a lesson?

If your child cannot attend their usual class, please let us know. Do not send your child if they are ill, and please allow 48 hours following any bouts of vomiting or diarrhea.

If your child misses a class, no refunds are issued for missed sessions within a term, however we may offer a transfer to another class if space allows.

What are the fees and do you offer trial lessons?

Prices can be found below above in our class information section. We also have a Bursary Fund to offer part-funded places. Plus, we can accept Childcare Vouchers too.

You are very welcome to take advantage of our 2 week trial price of £18.50.

What is your cancellation/refund policy for sessions?

No refunds are issued for missed sessions within a term, but we may offer a transfer to another class if given 24 hours’ notice and where space allows.

Everyone is welcome at Musical Mayhem
